The offshore wind installation vessels, Saipem 7000 and Seaway Strashnov are set to recommence the installation of the Dogger Bank B substation and monopile foundations. Dogger Bank B is part of the world's largest offshore wind farm, the 3.6GW Dogger Bank Wind Farm in the UK, and represents the second phase of three 1.2 GW stages.

The large maritime installation vessels, Saipem 7000 and Seaway Strashnov are expected to arrive at the project site by mid-April to begin construction work. They will be responsible for installing the offshore substation (OSS) superstructure and the monopile foundations, respectively. Additionally, the jack-up vessel HEA Leviathan and the service operation vessel (SOV) Edda Boreas will also be deployed to the construction site to carry out the commissioning of the offshore substation and monitoring of underwater noise during the monopile installation process.

According to AIS vessel tracking data, the Saipem 7000 installation vessel was en route from Norway to the Dogger Bank B site on April 9th. The foundation for the project's substation was installed last year, and this operation will focus solely on the installation of the substation's superstructure. The superstructure is currently being transported to the site by the cargo barge Castoro XI, towed by the anchor handling tug (AHT) Pacific Discovery.

The installation of the substation superstructure is expected to continue until April 18th, after which the jack-up vessel HEA Leviathan (formerly known as Seajacks Leviathan) will commence commissioning. The commissioning work is scheduled to last until mid-August, during which accommodations will be provided for the commissioning personnel.

Following the installation of the offshore substation, Seaway Strashnov, Seaway's jack-up installation vessel, plans to arrive at the site to install the monopile foundations. In parallel, Subacoustech Environmental will monitor underwater noise (UWN) during the installation of the first five monopiles using the SOV Edda Boreas.
