The GSMA has released its "Mobile Economy China 2024" report, which forecasts that the number of 5G connections in China will break the 1 billion mark this year. By the end of 2024, over half of all mobile connections in China are expected to be 5G.

By 2030, China's 5G connections are projected to account for nearly one-third of the global total, with the 5G penetration rate in China nearing 90%. The contribution of 5G to China's economy is anticipated to reach $260 billion. Furthermore, by the end of 2030, the annual contribution of China's mobile industry to the overall economy is expected to exceed $1 trillion.
