It derives its name from its crystal-like appearance. There are two types of crystal heads: RJ-45 crystal heads for twisted pair cables and RJ-11 crystal heads for telephone lines.

2.Fiber Optic Connector:A passive device used to connect two optical fibers or cables, ensuring continuous transmission of optical signals. Fiber optic connectors find widespread application in optical fiber transmission lines, fiber optic distribution frames, and fiber optic testing instruments.

3.Fiber Optic Connector Components: Fiber optic connector components mainly include fiber optic connection boxes and fiber optic fan-out kits. Fiber optic connection boxes are standard fiber optic connection hardware used for cross-connections and management functions, supporting interconnections between ribbon cables and bundle-type optical cables. Fiber optic fan-out kits are fiber optic branching connector components used to separate and protect fibers within a cable, equipped with connector heads to connect with other fiber optic devices.

4.Patch Panel:Used for terminating optical cables and electric cables, providing interfaces for cable connections with other devices, making structured cabling systems more manageable. There are two types of patch panels: cable patch panels and fiber optic patch panels, used for terminating twisted pair cables and optical cables, respectively. Patch panels are further categorized into main distribution frames and intermediate distribution frames, used for building or floor-level cable terminations.

5.Fiber Optic Terminal Box:Used for terminating optical cables, mostly for vertical and building group cabling. Fiber optic terminal boxes come in wall-mounted and rack-mounted types, with the former directly fixed on walls and the latter installed in standard cabinets. These boxes can be fixed-configuration or modular, where fixed ones have fiber couplers directly secured on the box, while modular ones allow users to choose corresponding modules based on cable quantity and specifications.

6. Fiber Optic Adapter:Fixed onto fiber optic terminal boxes or information sockets, these adapters facilitate connections between fiber optic connectors, ensuring proper alignment between fibers. They are also commonly used in fiber optic terminal boxes, enabling different sizes or types of plugs to match with information sockets, allowing applications connected by the fiber optic cable to smoothly access the network.

7.Information Socket:An interface device connecting terminal devices to horizontal subsystems, providing users with network and voice interfaces. For UTP cables, typically, 8-pin modular information sockets with RJ-45 interface types are used, employing an 8-core wiring connection. For fiber optics, information sockets with ST/ST connectors are mandated.

8.Patch Cord (Jumper): Used to establish connections between patch panels and distribution devices, information sockets and computers, distribution devices among themselves, and distribution devices with routing equipment. Patch cords are mainly divided into twisted pair patch cords and fiber optic patch cords, applied in different wiring systems.

9.Distribution Cabinet/Rack:Cabinets and racks are metal structures used to store network-related equipment, offering protection, shielding from electromagnetic interference, orderly arrangement of devices, and ease of maintenance in the future.
